The PASTIFICIO! tradition of Northern Italian cooking had its beginnings in the mountainous region of Emilia-Romagna, near the city of Modena in Italy. In 1977 the tradition was rekindled with the opening of the PASTIFICIO! store in Highwood, Illinois. Careful attention is given to capture the original flavors of the pastas and meats identified with this style of cooking. PASTIFICIO! products use only natural ingredients such as Grade A eggs, olive oil, and the finest meats, vegetables, and herbs. Our take-home menu includes a variety of fresh dried pastas, frozen pastas, meat dishes, sauces, and soups in addition to a special selection of desserts and cookies. LOCATION HOURS
YOU MAY WONDER WHAT MAKES US SO SPECIAL! It starts with authentic family recipes, which originate from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy and have been passed down from generation to generation. We take pride in not altering these time-proven recipes. We make our all-natural cuisine from scratch daily. Our Pasta is made with only the finest Durum and Semolina flours and egg whites. Fresh carrots, celery, onions, and tomatoes are peeled and hand cut. Fresh garlic cloves are hand pressed to insure garden freshness. Extra virgin olive oil and 100% olive oil are used to bring out the best taste. Even our broth is made from scratch with fresh beef and/or chicken, carrots, celery, onions, and herbs. We prepare a wide selection of gourmet Northern Italian cuisine. You can choose from over 36 heat and serve entrees, 20 varieties of freshly dried pasta, 15 red and white sauces, gourmet breads, desserts, soups, and many other specialty items. Our menu is continually adding new products. We invite you to shop at PASTIFICIO! and become part of our customer family.
